Client Money and Redress Scheme

Not every agent is the same! Client money and Deposit protection is vital to any tenant, and at Key, this is taken very seriously.

Membership of a Client Money Protection (CMP) scheme for Estate Agents has been a legal requirement since 1st April 2019.

Membership of a redress scheme is also a legal requirement.

We take the security of client money very seriously. All funds are held within a designated client account, and rental deposits are held by the Deposit Protection Scheme. Tenancy Deposit Protection was introduced in April 2007 as part of the Housing Act 2004 for all assured shorthold tenancies in England and Wales where a deposit was taken, as a way to raise standards in the lettings industry and ensure you are treated fairly at the end of the tenancy.  For full details of the scheme, please do not hesitate to have a look at the DPS website

KEY Estate Agents is a member of the Propertymark Client Money Protection Scheme and The Property Ombudsman
